Gunes Kaplan's Art Journey: After London, the next stop is İzmir!

MANAVGAT-BORN ARTIST GUNES KAPLAN ACHIEVES INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS: A TURKISH WIND BLOWS IN LONDON.

Gunes Kaplan, a photographer living and working in Manavgat, continues to represent Turkey on international platforms with her success story that stretches from local to global. A member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), Kaplan recently showcased her works to art lovers worldwide at a prestigious exhibition in London.

An Art Journey from London to Izmir

Kaplan, whose work was featured at the international “Art Exhibition” held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, on May 9th, became one of the important figures representing Turkey. The artist's works, which explore themes of humanity, culture, and memory with an aesthetic language, received high praise from international art circles. Following the intense interest in London, Kaplan turned her attention to the national stage. The artist's works will be presented to art lovers at the Izmir Art Fair, held between May 13th and 17th.

"Visibility from Local to Global is Important"

Gunes Kaplan, who is also a member of the Antalya Photography Club (ANFOK), is reaping the rewards of her disciplined production process. Emphasizing the importance of bringing art produced in Manavgat to the world stage, Kaplan noted the following:

“In my works, I strive to interpret the traces of life and memory through an aesthetic language. The fact that the works coming from my workshop in Manavgat are attracting attention in world centers like London is a source of pride for both me and my country. I aim to increase this visibility with new projects.”

Kaplan, who captures traces of memory and life within his frame with his unique perspective, signaled that he will continue his productions with new projects both domestically and internationally.
