Award-winning photographer Gunes Kaplan, who lives and works in Manavgat, Türkiye, continues to represent her country on international platforms through a compelling artistic practice that bridges local narratives with universal human experiences.

A member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in the United Kingdom, Kaplan recently showcased her work at a prestigious international art exhibition held in London, bringing contemporary Turkish photography to a global audience.

From London to İzmir: Expanding Artistic Horizons

On May 9, Kaplan participated in the international Art Exhibition in London, where her photographic works attracted significant attention from collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts. Exploring themes of humanity, cultural memory, identity, and the traces of lived experience, her images were praised for their emotional depth and refined visual language.

Following the success of the London exhibition, Kaplan’s artistic journey continues in Türkiye. Her works will be presented at the İzmir Art Fair, taking place from May 13–17, further strengthening her presence within both national and international contemporary art circles.

Kaplan is also an active member of the Antalya Photography Club (ANFOK) and is recognized for her disciplined artistic approach and distinctive visual storytelling.
